Has Murphy paid you a visit? And how did I recover from it? (LOL just a random and unforgettable one)

Ps- Murphy means If anything can go wrong, it will go wrong. And it will happen in the worst possible way.

A few years back,

I organized a bbq for my friends in May 2007. I invited about nearly 50 friends.

What happen was that we all met at Pasir Ris and we took the bus there. Upon reaching the destination, we saw other people using our bbq pit. We were all very angry and one of my friends confronted them. They said they book that bbq pit too. And we were shocked, the other party was shock too. And after that one of them ask my friend to take out the receipt of the booking of the bbq pit. And guess what. The bbq pit that we booked was actually one month earlier! We were so embarrassed and we apologize to them for the confrontation.

I was totally at a loss of what to do and what should I say to my friends because I am the one who organize this bbq and I’m the one who invited everyone. Everyone’s mood seems spoiled too. I told myself that this isn’t going to work out if everyone were to go home having a sad face. And then.. suddenly I thought of an idea, that is to self make a “mini bbq”. What I did was to use one of the aluminum tray to put the charcoal, and put another tray at the bottom to prevent the grass from being burnt(haha). Then after that I put the wire gauge(for the bbq) on top of the tray that has the charcoal. And guess what. I managed to start the fire and here comes our mini bbq! Everyone seems more excited about this mini bbq than to the actual bbq! We had our food “bbq-ed”, and the whole thing is just like a normal bbq but more interesting. =D And after the whole event, they told me that this was the most memorable and unforgettable bbq that they ever had. (:

*Of cause there are still some funny things that happened on that day.
